DEVELOPING A POSITIVE KINGDOM MINDSET

 *DEVELOPING A POSITIVE KINGDOM MINDSET*

New King James Version Numbers 13:30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

*Testimonies:*

Born and bred in Hippo Valley Estates with a not so rosy background, did casual work and cane cutting for some university funds. I went to Form 1 barefooted and many of my seniors laughed at me. Against all odds made fulfilment of the vision I had through a positive mindset.

*🔵Mindset:* Collection of thoughts and state of the mind that influences how you think, feel behave and react to situations.

Your mindset determines your success , it can empower or limit you, it can uplift or pull you down. Your version gravitates towards your mindset (we are more than grasshoppers). You are the product of your mindset, how you think.

For as a man thinketh in his heart so is he - Prov 23:7

The brain must used. It rains according to your brains. Many people are so spiritual to the extend of not using the brain.

Your mindset will not grow because you are married, it grows because you are willing.

*🔵 Positive Mindset*

A state of mind and emotional attitude that envisions and expects positive results and allows you to see the best in yourself regardless of the situation. The future is waiting to greet and reward people with a positive mindset. Positive Mindset is critical everywhere and everywhere. Positive Mindset penetrates against all odds

Mindset, Mentality, mental disposition

*🔵Advantages of Positive Mindset*

- Positive mentality determines how you see things and your attitude

- Positive mentality will make you to conquer and handle life challenges and still experience success and victory.

- Positive mindset breaks jaws of bad background, environment and situations (testimony in Hippo Valley, Marondera, Hwange)

- Positive mindset enables you to be consistently focused and not giving up easily and coming up even when you fall.

- Positive mindset makes you to see what others don't see, ahead of others, further than others, before others see.

Panobudika. Don't die before you die

*🔵How to develop positive mindset*

1. Purpose (Jer 1:5)

True success starts when we discover our purpose. Purpose is what God created you for (assignment, calling, calling) Purpose discovered is life recovered. Purpose revealed is life revealed.

God has a plan for you Jer 29:11

Your mind must be tuned to your purpose. Many young people don't why they are on this earth. Discover your purpose and never divert from your purpose. Don't immitate another person's purpose. We are different. You can come on earth and go.

2. Vision

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish

- A vision is a mental picture if the future. A challenging vision attracts positive mindset. For you to get your vision you need to think positive

- Visualize your future and your tomorrow....Purpose discovered is life recovered and destiny revealed. Usararama kunge une mudzimu.

- The vision must be able to stretch your mind

- Write down the vision and the future Hab 2:4  (testimony my vision to be an international speaker- Ezekiel Tv and travelling to nations, pastor, author, education, graphic designer revealed in Hippo Valley and sealed in Marondera by writing everything and doing it - preaching to the trees and empty benches, license, passport, houses, stands, cars)

- Usangoti I am going to be a great person usina licence kana passport.

- The mind follows the vision and the vision changes the way you think.

- Mungafunga zvipenyu seyi pasina kana chamunoona chipenyu cheramangwana makadzimirwa

- Think big and see big (Gen 13:) even your marriage, don't see yourself as a failure. Panobudika

- Invest in your vision, follow your vision and become what you want to be.

3. Mentorship

Proverbs 24:6 For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.

- Get people who can mentor you and show you positive mindset and that it can be done

- Look for mentors who challenge you not who lead you into failure ( Overseer Nhakura)

- Counselling and Guidance is critical mindset development

- These people are examples of conquering attitude, with maturity and experience.

-  These people have track record and example that it can be done.

- When you have a mentor, don't be rigid to the extend that you want to teach the mentor.

- Mentorship is a fountain of wisdom

4. Networking and Association

1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”

- Networking is a powerful tool in mindset development.

Give me your friend and I will give you your future

- If your friend or those around you are negative you are likely to be negative.

- Mindset is contagious: Who is your friend or associate, what do they think about life?

- Run away from negative friends associates and find friends who are positive.

- Networking brings a pool of ideas critical to your mindset (information exchange)

- Testimony (the team I was staying with are now pastors)

- Testimony on developing as an author - RS, AM, also Corel draw learning. Expose yourself to people who can challenge you for the better

- Spend time with positive people who have positive outlook, positive stories and positive affirmations.

4. Deal with negativity

Numbers 13:31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”

- Caleb and Joshua: confront and challenge negative thoughts, fears and threats, tough situation (2 Tim 1:7)

- Never let your condition determine your position.

- Never let your environment  determine your development (no relish for sadza testimony, Hwange 6 time to board aeroplanes. In the desert there shall be springs of water.)

- Love yourself and believe on yourself and build your capacity, confidence and self esteem.

- Don't believe in negative words from anyone or the devil (ucharoorwa here kana kuroora here in such situations). Some will laugh at but continue believing for a better future.

- Deal with discouragement and encourage your self as David did (1 Sam 30:6). It's a matter of time tinopabuda chete (Ps 30:5, James 1:2, Phil 4:4)

- Act, carry yourself and walk in a positive way (usazvinzwira tsitsi, kana kufamba semunhu ane manyoka)

- Start to practice in a positive way (in that contrary situation I became an evangelist)

- Dress the way you want life to address you (ndapedza kudya sadza rine sauti ndopfeka sutu kwakunoparidza)

- Mind your language and speak in a positive way about yourself: Kingdom vocabulary (Caleb and Joshua to counter the negative, testimony of margarine and salt in sadza, Tell yourself - zvinopera, it's temporary, panobudika)

- Replace negative words with positive affirmations (I am a great person)

- Expose yourself to challenging situations (A level testimony)

Discover your weakness (shyness, lack of self esteem, socio phobia)and challenge then or deal with them (sexual challenges- future gone)

5. Feed your mind positively

- The mind grows by what you feed it

- Don't feed your mind with rubbish (pornography, evil thoughts, social forwards, social media garbage esp jokes which do not build you etc)

- You have power over your mind

- go to school to develop yourself (Kutoda kuroorwa apa chikoro hamuna - Brazilian hair iri padofo - empty head, testimony relevant Diplomas and Degrees) The purpose of school education is to develop your mind not necessarily to get a certificate

- Dzimwe nharo dzenyu kutoshaya chikoro chaicho, kwete kungoti mautsukuna munene washangwe (gone are the days yekuroorwa nekuda kwegaro kwakudiwawo musoro)

- Be a reader: Read good inspirational books on mindset development and build a positive mindset. Youth today don't want to read

- take advantage of technology, what new things have you learnt so far? (testimony- graphic designing through technology) Imi kungoenda pawatsapp kunoti kkkk zvatopera mune shuwa here. Ndicho chivindi chaicho

-Think outside the box or remove the box.

Expose yourself to greatness. One of the tricks of the devil is tell you average is good. (Lazarus come out)

6. Believe the word of God

-affirm and agree with the Word, speak and confess the word (Gen 18:14, 1 John 4:4) homologio

-be a fighter and have faith (first car after the voice of God of faith, Hwange the gauge of fuel rose when fuel was no more). God uses you according to the level of your faith and mindset

-pray and fast Mt 17:21 - Ruzawi Mt (Oh God extend my territory, Since the days of John the Baptist)

REIGNITING KINGDOM BURDEN IN LEADERSHIP

Uploading: 1486848 of 2479560 bytes uploaded.

REIGNITING KINGDOM BURDEN IN LEADERSHIP

Neh: 1:4: And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

Ø  Hanani and team comes with news of work, news of the status of Jerusalem. What news do you bring: Only gossip, useless news, divisions, you bring?

  1. Great affliction and reproach 2. The walls of Jerusalem broken 3. The gates burned with fire. The challenges at Israel district needs Elder Nehemiah.

There is no one who told Nehemiah to decide to go back to Jerusalem to rebuild the walls but it was a burden. Burden works with attitude. You are your attitude and attitude is you. Your attitude is your altitude.

  • Burden: The push that gives you the sense of commitment, devotion, duty, obligation and responsibility. With burden you put yourself in the work. You do the work with all heart, all your mind, all yourself.
  • There is no leader who is going to be successful without a burden, burden is the inner drive for work. Leaders with a burden they are influential and make impact in their leadership.
  • Burden is the thing that differentiates leaders from each other because effectiveness comes from burden.
  • Burden people work even if they don’t see a benefit or praises. Those with a burden do not complain of God’s work because it is His work.
  • Any great work of God and production through someone begins with a burden in that someone. What pushes Baba Guti to go around is the burden he has for souls. What burden do you have?
  • Kingdom business calls for people who are burden bearers, stand in the gap (Ez 22:30)
  • A person with a burden will never wait to be pushed because the burden pushes him. The person with a burden asks kuti todii, chii chinoda kuitwa sometimes just do what he has seen to be done.
  • Leaders without a burden for the things of God must resign. Unobatsirei usina mutoro webasa.

With a burden leader see:

  • What others don’t see: A leader’s eyes moves into the spiritual realm and see what others don’t see. Iwe waratidzwa famba nezvawaratidzwa not trying to force people. (District Vehicle)
  • Before others see: Be always the first to see the need of the projects.
  • Ahead of others: It is a shame for any leader to behind of followers. You can’t be in 2010 when your followers are in 2019. This is one of the greatest challenges as it causes friction in kingdom projects and business.
  • Beyond others: When followers see in short term terms, leaders go into the long-term range or mode. Most of buildings and projects were done by people who saw in the short term.
  • Further or bigger than others: When followers see something you see it from another angle and size or magnitude. Quality and excellence work well with leaders who see further than others (sketch of the mission house)

People with burden

  • They have a push, passion and conviction in themselves (after hearing the news, a push was created in him)
  • They build relationships (asked the king for permission to go for the walls restoration. You need people and networking even with your burden)
  • They are spiritual and prayerful people (after the burden, Nehemiah prayed)
  • They are ready to take a risk and are bold (Nehemiah was ready to face the risk and opposition. Where are the people who can take risks for the Kingdom of God?)
  • They are geared for initiative action (after hearing the situation, Nehemiah was pushed for action) As a leader, at times we are not asked, but we are expected to do it.
  • They are exceptional motivators with a courageous constitution and have capacity for influence.

What takes burden? (Ps 12:1)

  1. Personal decision, looking at other people kuti vachaita when he is also looking kuti nhingi achaita. Imwe nyaya ndeyekuti caretaker nefinance vachaita.
  2. Associations: Sometimes munopedzwa simba neshamwari dzisina kana burden.
  3. Church politics: Hatina kuvinga politics takavinga basa: political commisar
  4. Lack of seriousness: Wamwe wati fambe paburden yebasa raShe (Hwange deal)
  5. Offences from other leaders~ Makapedzwa simba nezvigumbu. You can fix man but not God, maramwira ani basa iri? God can raise stone.
  6. Surroundings/environment~ the situation or place you are in doesn’t promote burden. Pano hapaitwe izvozvo- please musandipedza simba ndine burden neGlenview.

Ø  You used to give your all when you were at that place. You would say ndofamba netsoka, chero ndapa Mwari, but these days at GlenView.

Ø  You used to walk long distances but now mota yatove nyaya (Hippo Valley)

Ø  Status and position: Those days musina chunhu commitment was above board but makomborerwa zero. Musati mave leader zeal yanga yakati ohhhh.

Ø  I will not change my burden commitment nekuti ndave kuWaterfall when I stood with His work in Hwange.

  1. Challenges and opposition: No more power to push on (Jm 1:2) For every burden there is an opposition (Tobiah and Sanballat). When you have a burden be ready for opposition. There are always challenges in the work of God. Challenges are the oil of ministry.
  2. Sin: sin kills the zeal. Many people they try to have a burden for the souls for church growth, tithes etc but sin is hindering. Sin always drag you back.
  3. Excuses:
  4. Devil and demonic attacks

Bad attitudes in burden

·         Giving excuses of not producing because we are many: Kuchekererana chishandwa. Pamwe chinotorwa nemunhu one vamwe vakapeta maoko.

·         Not producing to the pastor, the elder or another leader to fix them. You cannot fix anyone through the work of God

·         You don’t want to be told that you are not productive? Every time we are asked or told to be productive you become angry.

·         Seeing the work of God as an inconvenience and a burden to your life.

Signs that the burden has gone:

Ø  The time, commitment, concentration, devotion, zeal, energy, effort, and passion we put in our things in comparison to the same we have put in the Kingdom of God.

Ø  No longer participating in Kingdom business, change of language (criticism and negative), no longer faithful in matters of the Kingdom (effort, time, giving etc). You are no longer available VaGaratiya ndiani akakuroyai? – Gal 3:1

Ø  I don’t care attitude- chero zvazvaita. Hana haichatirimukira zvinhu zvekwaMwari. Chero chegumi chikadonha no deal, even vatendi vakadzokera sure no deal. Please care for the work of God.

Ø  No more excitement in the things of God- Leadership without excitement is dangerous (EH Guti). Every time you want to do the work of God, you feel very low. The push and the drive is gone. The zeal of thine house has consumed me ~ John 2:17

  Signs of the burden

  1. Concern (Asked about the state of affairs: Nehemiah’s body was in Persia, but his heart and his interest were in Jerusalem (things of God) – 800 miles away. He wanted to know from those returning how the people and the city were doing). Do you ever ask about the work of God? What is the state of affairs? Do you actually ask the state of affairs at your region?
  2. Sat down: Pondering, what is next, what then can we do? Burden eats you up and you ponder the best way to deal with the situation.
  3. Wept and mourned: Emotional attachment to Kingdom business. Have you ever cried and mourned for days? Zvepasangano penyu zvinochemedza but hamuchemi. It’s business as usual, not with people of burden.
  4. Fasted, prayed: Burden pushes you to pray. You may not have the money but burden pushes you to pray. God have mercy with my life. God intervene at our assembly, things must change (Mt 17:21)
  5. To God of heaven: He has all the solution to the Kingdom business. Anotikundisa. In the work of God, we need God of the work. NaMwari panobudika.

LIFE IN COURTSHIP RELATIONSHIPS

 *LIFE IN A COURTSHIP RELATIONSHIP*

*Understanding courtship dynamics*

🔵Purpose: The partners must understand the purpose of the courtship. You cant be in courtship without knowing the purpose of the courtship. Courtship is for marriage not trial, sex or playing. Non focused relationships are dangerous

🔵Prayer: They must pray for themselves, in-laws, church leaders and their future. In courtship, there are many challenges and spiritual battles which must fought by prayer.

🔵Purity: There is an urge or temptation to sleep together and this should be controlled as much.

🔵Place of courtship: Here we speak of whether a courtship state is long distant or not. Long distance courtships have their own challenges which should be tackled with wisdom.

🔵Participation: Those in courtship must participate in their own relationship. If you dont do this, the relationship will definitely crumble.

🔵Planning: As you are together there should be a concrete plan in terms of lobola, wedding and the marriage life. Plan how you are going to finance for this.

🔵Period: Though there is no prescribed period of courtship, the period must not be long. Long courtship will give room to the devil.

🔵Premarital counselling: Premarital counselling is platform of one or more counselling sessions in counselling given to parties ready or preparing for marriage for guidance and resolving of some issues in courtship.

🔵Processes: These include family introductions, engagement, lobola payment and wedding planning.

Many young people exhaust themselves and anxiously await the wedding day without putting any thought into what comes after the wedding. There is need to plan ahead and seeing the world after the wedding.

ONLINE CHURCHES POSTERS

*ONLINE CHURCH COMMUNICATION 101*

POSTER INTERNATIONALISATION MAKEUP

With online churches surges, those holding the virtual must have a deliberate understanding that they are no longer confined in their local set up. Going online is going global and influencing globally.

Posters are a means of communication and heralding your services outside the confines of your locality. You are actually inviting people all over the whole world with the poster. Therefore these posters must not leave doubt and more questions to the one seeing them in terms of information seeking. Below are key information dynamics which can help in poster communication:
✅Quality: The poster quality must be top notch. Remember this is all about branding communications. It must not be congested such that you can't follow what the poster is communicating. It is not necessary to put 'every' leader on the poster like Host Pastor, Host Secretary, Host Chairman, Forerunner etc.
✅Church name: It maybe necessary to write in full the name of your assembly. It is not in good shape to write WICC, because you may know what WICC is but what about us. Any abbreviation can be interpreted differently.
✅Country Name: Because the poster is inviting people for online churches worldwide it is prudent if possible to hint the country where there services are being held or where this church is found esp on address.
✅Speaker: The speaker's title must be respected esp on the picture being used, be it Dr, Prophet, Apostle etc. It is also key to put the country of origin of that person for example Pastor John - Zimbabwe. This is because the church has grown big and this information can assist someone esp those who may want to follow their 'own'.
✅Pictures: Please communicate with the speaker and request usage of preferred pictures. Don't just pluck pictures from social media and put the picture on the poster. Some pictures were good at that time but no longer relevant. The picture must be as clear as possible esp for those who may want identify with the speaker.
✅Contacts: When putting telephone or cellphone contacts of speaker, host or contact persons it is wise to put the country code. Someone may want to communicate with you or speaker and it must not be that difficult. If possible two contacts are good for choice. Those who do or design posters, it is not necessary to put your contact there because it distorts the communication on the poster.
✅Online platforms: The platforms being used for the online service must be clear. Is it zoom, Facebook, WhatsApp etc? Don't just write online service without indicating which platforms. If zoom give details of ID or password, if Facebook highlight if it is through the page or group or personal profile.
✅Time: Time for beaming the service must be in consciousness of different time zones. Saying 7pm may not mean something in Zimbabwe but may mean something in Malaysia. So if possible, you can add standard time configurations at the end like 7pm Central African Time (CAT) or British Summer Time (BST). This gives guidance to your viewers.
✅Circulation: If possible it is courtesy to show your speaker first  speaker than the speaker seeing the poster in the public domain or through someone.

YOUTH AND PARENTAL BLESSINGS

Securing Parental Blessings - Ambassadors' Journal

*WORD TO THE YOUTH*

Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth - Ephesians 6:2-3

Many youth are living without parental blessings. They are leaving like orphans when their biological parents are there. They operate as if they do not have parents. Many youth have lost touch with their own parents. They do not visit them, communicate with them, and support them emotionally or financially. It is also painful that some youth have ‘discovered’ some ‘father’ or ‘mother’ figure where they now stay who have now replaced their own living parents. Here are the excuses most youths are giving concerning the distance they have created from their parents:
• My parents are too far away.
• I am now independent and I have my own life.
• I wanna fix my parents for what they did to me. I am angry against them.
• There is no money to support them.
• I am stressed up by my own issues. I can be seen accommodating some people in my life.
• My parents are too old and too sick to be my parents.
• They abused me and it is my turn to abuse them.
• We are many in our family. Others can support also. It is not my duty only.

You must understand that your parent is your parent no matter what. You need them. Today I see the spirit of rejection in many youth. Decide to forgive your parents. Pick up your phone and call your parents. Greet them with love. Be concerned about their care and welfare. They are still your parents. With that little visit them. One time my father said, ‘It is not money we need but to see you only’ Life sharing is important

*Affirmation*

*I love my parents
*I have the best parents
*God bless my parents
