Church authorities

To many people it is surprising why it is necessary for one to pray for marriage in relation to church authorities. The reason is that those in church authorities are also people and can miss proper judgement and discernment as far as your marriage or relationship is concerned. You need to ask God for His favour to prevail as you relate your issues with church authorities.

The devil is very cunning to the extent of using those in authorities to smear dirt on your relationships. Though it is not always the case some youth grew bitterness in them because of how their issues were handled by church authorities. Some feel they were unjustly treated, though some will exaggerate the situation. There are some who actually feel they were being victimized and others feel that were fixed for unknown reason. Sometimes the authorities will be very innocent in what they will be doing but prayer has got power to deal with this. I believe you appreciate the reason why we need to pray for church authorities as far as marriage of our youth is concerned. Prayer is very essential. We do not fight against flesh and blood.

Praying for wedding and marriage plans

This is one the phases which is a trying time. There are many battles to be won at this stage. Many people have quit at this stage and have given foot to the devil to tamper with their wedding and marriage plans. What people do not know is that a wedding is actually a platform for vows which authenticate a marriage covenant. Therefore the devil understands that once you are successful with your wedding he could have lost it.

Pray earnestly for all wedding arrangements even the seemingly small things. Many people were frustrated at their wedding not because of lack of planning but lack of prayer. They took things for granted. A wedding is spiritual battle platform. It is a do or die scenario. This is because to some people they will be the first ones to be doing the wedding or there is a generational curse against marriages in certain families.

As you plan for your wedding pray that you are protected from the attacks of Satan. I have seen people who died just few days from their wedding. Some wedded when they are no longer virgins because of the temptations flaunted by the devil. You cannot afford to live a life of regret the whole of your life. Pray to be delivered from the destructive plans of the devil (1 Peter 5:8). It will be absurd to invest so much into a wedding which will never come to pass. You cannot miss your own wedding. Be assured victory is certain.

Wedding plans also involve monetary or financial issues. This one you cannot run away from. Therefore there is need for vigorous prayer against every force which can withhold your finances. There are others who get finances especially specifically for their wedding plans but the money is taken by devourers. You can have an urgent issue which needs attention and that money is gone. Shame!

Many people moved in circles in their relationships and wedding plans because the devil had attacked them in this area. I have seen many youth postpone wedding and marriage dates because things were not in shape financially. It worries me when a relationship takes long and nothing meaningful comes out of it, just because of finances.

God must make a way for your finances. The encouragement and hope we have is that everything ultimately belongs to God and He gives us the ability to earn money. It is paramount to pray to God for financial intelligence, wisdom and power to gain and use your finances wisely (Proverbs 3:9-10). This would definitely mean that there is need for power and strength to work diligently to earn money, give generously to support God's work on earth for Him to bless us, avoid foolish spending decisions and debt, and save consistently for your wedding. It is possible.
