THROUGH WALKING IN THE LEGACY
6 As
ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted
and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught,
abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man
spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after
the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. ~ Col 2:6-7
INTRODUCTION
As ladies and a key ministry in the church, we should perpetuate
and continue to walk in the Legacy. However, some can relax and expire in as
far as Kingdom Legacy is concerned. It is against this background I stand here
to bring a revival to someone in walking in the Legacy. It is too early to get
lost
What Walking in the Legacy mean
·
Walking in Greek peripeateo MEANS line up your
behaviour, a lifestyle, a path to stay on, it is a practical thing. Legacy is
personal, perpetual, pure and practice al. Let us stay in the path of the
legacy and do what is required in purity.

Walking is related to movement (it’s not allowed to
remain at one level). One must continue walking. We are on a journey we don’t stop;
we continue. Don’t let anyone or anything make you to stop giving, attending
church, Tuesday prayer, Ladies meetings and doing good.

The IN means within, inside (positional).
We have a path called Legacy. We must be in Christ, or outside (you can be in Church
or a department but outside legacy, Christ or the Kingdom of God). Are you in
or you are OUTSIDE. Are you for us or for the Devil? If we are not careful, we
may think the church is moving but the candidates will be not of God or not of
us.

Legacy: speaks of an already laid
foundation, model, path, design. You walk in the path which God has prepared
for you (we walk not your own created road but a road already fashioned). Wherever
we are let’s do what our Go Quickly and the church teaches and has laid out to
be done.

Walking means: Direction,
focus and going somewhere. We are going somewhere as a ministry and at personal
level (no room for a visionless woman. Legacy is a prescribed vision already
laid). Our father was a person of vision. There is no reason for a lady to be
lost in this generation. The legacy has a direction to make us become like
Christ in identity. Don’t live a haphazard life, you are an excellent person.

Walking in Christ would mean
to depend with Christ, the initiator of the legacy which our father left for
us. It is painful that many women now depend on many things in life but we
should anchor our lives on Christ. Depend on God in your family, business,
marriage, schoolwork, life etc

Walking is a daily commitment.
Do not tired or weary in walking. Many people become lazy to walk, disturbed in
the walk, stop to walk. It is a fight because in the walking you will meet challenges,
obstacles, hindrances, limitations etc SAY: No more limits. I am a woman
walking in the LEGACY. I am more than a conqueror.
As we
walk in the Legacy (This Church will not come to an end)

Walk in good character and good works
(speech, thinking, habits Eph 2:10) How is your character at home, business,
workplace, church. Are you faithful in everyday life? (Ps 12:1; Mt 25:23); Well-done,
good and faithful servant. Are you a good and faithful woman to your family, church,
business, leader, God? Can God commend you, can you family depend on you, Can
your leader depend on you? Where are the women of good character in our
assemblies, provinces and the nations.

Walk in holiness and newness (new creature Eph
4:17-24). You are a new person and the old has passed away. Put off the old
self and put on new YOU. Be ye holy because I am holy. Col
·
Walk in the light (Eph
5:8-10). No more darkness. Live in the open and with openness. Live an open
life, you are actually called to display the light. No more secret or double life.
A lady should be a lady not mix things with the dark. In this church we don’t sell
our bodies, we don’t go to witchdoctors or false prophets or ask spirits of
dead people. We believe in the light: Jesus Christ.

Walk in wisdom (Eph
5:5:15-16). Life needs order, wisdom, planning, use of time, proper management for
success. We can not say we are moving in the legacy and not become successful
in life. The legacy is a package and we should benefit from it as we utilize the
wisdom God gave us. The legacy doesn’t allow us to live like fools
·
Walk daily and continuously:
It is a life time commitment. Don’t allow anything to stop you from walking. It
is Kingdom mindset to walk and walk in faith (2 Cor 5:7) I press towards the
goal, not having apprehended it (Phil 3:14). Move, move. Speak about greatness
daily, Confess the word of God daily.
THE
REASONS WHY MANY ARE NO LONGER WALKING IN THE LEGACY
Many ladies no longer rooted
and grounded in the Legacy
Rooted and grounded:
stability, stable, not shaken, distracted. Any plant which doesn’t have proper root
system will be shaken or it will die. I will not be shaken sister. Roots have a
purpose of taking up water and nutrients, stabilizing and grounding the plant
Declare: Nothing will shake
me, I am stable, I am rooted, I will not fall. I will live and declare the
works of the Lord. I will continue walking in my stability as a woman. Don’t try
to push me, I am stable.
Roots are always attacked:
In agriculture it could be poor soils, pests, diseases, water shortage, extreme
temperatures. You will always have attacks on your roots as a believ.er
Enemies of Being Rooted
- Wrong
friends: wrong teachings, wrong influence. You used to be
a good Christian until you associated with that person. Shake yourself from
wrong influence. You will become bad very soon. You have a choice whom to
associate with. Whom you relate with can dictate your life
- Wounds,
trials and Storms of Life: Challenges, diseases,
marital issues. Don’t allow what happens in life affect your stability. Count
it all joy when you enter various trials (James 1:3) You are
winner, don’t be shaken sister
- Offenses
(Lk 17:1): Unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred and grudges
- Prayerlessness
and lack of the Word (Mt 17:21 NIV): We become rooted and strong through the word and
prayer. How often do you pray and fast and read His Word? Don’t just
become a conference or event person who doesn’t read the Word and pray. Thy
word have I hidden in my heart (Ps 119:11)
- Idleness
and laziness: (2 Thes 3:10) Laziness is a destructive habit that leads to poverty, missed opportunities
and poor character. You have no participation in the house of the Lord
or family/home, not working in life or business. Baba Guti taught us to
work not just selling but even the Work of God. What are you doing in your
assembly, family, marriage, Province or ministry department? You can’t be
just a place holder. Work please, find something to do. Life is about
directed effort on something. A woman working in the legacy is an action
woman
- Rebellion,
stubbornness and Disobedience: sin
of rebellion: Rebellion to your boss/leader, your God, your church, your
husband etc. Doing what you were told not to do. The Bible says that the
sin of rebellion is as good as witchcraft (1 Sam 15:23). In meetings you
are one always causing trouble and confusion. You are not obeying your
chairlady, pastor, Overseer, Bishop etc
- Demonic
attacks (John 8:32): Live a demon free life. Be free now in the name
of Jesus. Darkness, go now. Leave that woman now. Pray for deliverance
now.
