THE CLOUD FACTOR SERIES

 Numbers  9:15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.  9:17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.

Law of Specifics

In their journey to Cannaan, in this passage, their movements were determined by the mentioned cloud over the tabernacle. This cloud was specific. The specific cloud was a visible symbol of the presence of God. Some also mention it as the Shekina glory. We need to note that it was not every but the cloud over  tabernacle. The cloud had to be connected to the tabernacle. The cloud must be connected to our worship. How these days we have courage to expect the presence of God, while disconnected to the worship. It is the worship which links us to the presence.

They had to check over tabernacle for the cloud because it was not in every cloud. Don't follow any cloud you will be misled. Any cloud outside the realm of tabernacle/worship is not 'the cloud'. One of our greatest challenge is when we try to fake the cloud. The danger and temptation in the Christian world is 'another' cloud phenomenon. This has led to catastrophic results. Many are trying to recreate, reengineer and also do 'cloud seeding' on the cloud. Which cloud are you following? The cloud cannot be faked because it has to be connected to the tabernacle. God desire true worship from his children (John 4:23)
