WHEN IT COMES ON YOU

WHEN IT COMES ON YOU

Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands. Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled Job 4:3-5

In life it is very easy to play the counsellor and instructor role. You could be having all the answers. In many areas, you could provide a way. Many people can surround you and come from your counsel to be strengthened and having hope. They can even say, ‘You are the person’. The weak hands would be finding strength. Your words will be an avenue of hope, make many who are falling to stand and a way for many not to fall. Feeble knees will be strengthened. Then comes a bang below:

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me – Job 3:25

The reality of life is that the things you encourage others in can visit you. The minister of hope is in many times challenged and tested in the area of his motivation to others. In this case it has come upon you. What will you do? What is your option? Sometimes all the scriptures you would have used on others seem to vanish and not work at all. You have a lot of questions on God. The same strength you had on others, seem not to be existent. You cry, Lord, where are you? It has come on you.

It is painful that many are bound to faint, perplexed and become wild and troubled. Where is the energy you would use for others? In real times, those who would be benefiting from your encouragements are sometimes nowhere to be found. Some will even ridicule you and scoff at you. Are you going to stand? In that instance be encouraged from within;

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God- 1 Sam 30:6

David used to be a pillar to many. But now, it had visited him. It had come to him. Ladies and gentlemen, in life be ready when life issues come to you. You need same energy and life you are giving to others in your encouragements. Learn to wait upon the Lord (Is 40:31). As you encourage others, remember it can also come upon you.

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair- 2 Cor 4:8
